Eastgate's School of Preachers is designed to equip men and women to teach God's word in a relevant way in whatever setting they find themselves in. The School of Preachers is a seven session (possibly more depending on numbers) interactive training program. Not all of us are called to be Pastors or Preachers but all Christians are called to share and teach the word of God.
These sessions are not just listening to Steve tell you what to do. There will be plenty of time for group discussion and each student will prepare a 10 minute Bible Talk to present to the group to receive constructive feedback.

01 - THE GOAL OF PREACHING
The subject for the first session is "The Goal of Preaching". It is important to first establish your aims so that every step of your preparation and delivery has purpose and intention. The three goals we cover in this session are:
- To capture the heart's affections for Christ
- So that lives are changed
- For the Glory of God.

02 - THE MEANS OF PREACHING
The subject for the second session is "The Means of Preaching". In the first session we identified three goals of preaching which were:
- To capture the heart's affections for Christ
- So that lives are changed
- For the Glory of God.
In today's session we look at what resources we have available to us to achieve those goals. The three primary means that we look at in this session are:
- The Word of God (The Bible)
- The Holy Spirit
- The Preacher

In this third session we look at what things we need to consider when determining what content we put in our sermons. The three primary thoughts that we look at in this session are:
